Built on the former site of the Convent des Minimes, a charming island in the heart of Bois de Vincennes, the Chalet de la Porte Jaune is the work of Baron Haussmann. In 1860, he had it built as a hunting lodge for the Imperial Court, at the request of Empress Eugenie. Its name also makes allusion to a similar structure in Bois de Saint-Cloud, a former official residence of the Court also called Chalet de la Porte Jaune.
Today a listed historical monument and completely restored under the high patronage of Bâtiments de France, the Chalet de la Porte Jaune offers modular rooms and other spaces able to cater for up to 1,500 people. And all of that on an exceptional site, the Island des Minimes, in the Bois de Vincennes, a few minutes from the centre of Paris.
